FAQ

What does DomainVerdict actually check?

Six trust signals: Ahrefs authority profile (DR, referring domains, dofollow share), anchor text distribution and spam flags, Wayback Machine yearly history (casino, pharma, adult, parked, hacked), WHOIS ownership churn, live Google indexation status, and canonical recommendation based on backlink distribution.

Where does the data come from?

Ahrefs API (authority, backlinks, anchors), Wayback Machine (historical content), WhoXY (registrar history), and live SERP providers (indexation). All data is deduplicated, cached, and capped per your plan.

What if a domain has a bad history?

We say so, bluntly. Severe Wayback risks (casino, pharma, adult, malware, hacked) cap the trust score. We never hide warnings, even in white-label mode.

Do credits roll over?

Plan credits reset each billing cycle. Top-up credits are valid for 12 months and are consumed only after your monthly allowance is gone.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime, from the billing portal. You keep access until the end of the current period.

Do I need an Ahrefs subscription?

No. We pay for the Ahrefs API on your behalf. The cost is built into your plan.

What does white-label mean?

On Agency+ plans, exported PDFs use your logo, accent colour, and footer text. Internal scoring formulas can optionally be hidden for client delivery. Risk warnings are always shown.

Do you support team seats?

Pro: 1 seat. Agency: 5. Power: 10. Enterprise: 25. Roles: owner, admin, analyst, viewer.

Is there an API?

Power plans have API access reserved. We will open it for select customers in a later release.

How fresh is the data?

Each report runs new queries unless an identical one was completed in the last 24 hours, in which case it serves from cache for 1 credit and 0 additional Ahrefs units.

Do you store screenshots?

Wayback screenshot images are kept for 30 days, then purged. Metadata and risk classifications are retained indefinitely. Power plans can opt in to indefinite screenshot retention.
